Obverse with conjoined busts of Edward VII & Alexandra, reverse with inscription in old English script, thistles and shamrocks in field.
Small edge bruise at 6 o'clock on reverse otherwise about as struck and beautifully toned. Housed in contemporary fitted case, the interior of which is embossed for Pearce & Sons, Leeds. Extremely rare with no trace of another example available to us.
This medal is described in BHM (3855) but is only listed as 32mm in AE or white metal. Stylistically, the obverse portrait of Edward resembles that of C&W 4738, a medal struck by an unknown artist.
