ESC 378, S.3357.
Second bust. V.PRIMO on edge.
One of the rarest dates of the Charles II series and only usually found in very low grade. ESC lists this type (without overdate) as having a 'blundered edge', however, this example has excellent, bold edge lettering.
Once cleaned and therefore somewhat bright but a bold Very Fine and better in parts. Two small metal flaws to reverse barely detract from this extremely rare coin which is undoubtedly one of the best 1669 Crowns available.
